Join other members of the Consortium of Christian Study Centers to hear from Dr. Charlie Cotherman on the Christian study center movement. About this Event Join others in the Consortium of Christian Study Centers to hear from Dr. Charlie Cotherman, author of the first history of the Christian study center movement: To Think Christianly: A History of L’Abri, Regent College, and the Christian Study Center Movement (InterVarsity Press, 2020). Hosted by Upper House, the Christian study center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, this 75-minute webinar will include a brief presentation by Dr. Cotherman and Q&A time. Dr. Cotherman will speak directly to the past and present Christian study centers with comments tailored for those in the movement. We ask that participants prepare by reading the Introduction, Chapter 7, and Conclusion of Charlie’s book. Cotherman is the pastor and planter of Oil City Vineyard Church in Oil City, Pennsylvania. He is the administrative director of the Project on Rural Ministry at Grove City College and has taught church history at Fuller Seminary and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Virginia and his new book is To Think Christianly: A History of L’Abri, Regent College, and the Christian Study Center Movement (InterVarsity Press, 2020).
