We are delighted to introduce you to our Upper House team, and this week we invite you to meet, Melanie Boudreau, our new Hospitality and Guest Services Coordinator, who joined the team in May 2022.

Melanie, how has your new role at Upper House furthered your faith journey?

After a few years of significant transition, the Lord has reminded me of his faithfulness in preparing me well for the purpose he has prepared for me. Stepping into this role and being a member of an incredible team is a sweet gift that reveals God’s intentionality and love!

What part of the Upper House project has intrigued/inspired you the most?

I am so encouraged and inspired by the way Upper House creates space for life change! Through every event and conversation, the heart of Upper House is to make the gospel accessible in a way that invites deep transformation. Whether through learning cohorts, engaging events, or a friendly face at the front desk, the message for guests is “you’ve been thought of;” I get so excited to help orchestrate details to assure people know this is true.

What is one of the best pieces of advice you have been given?

Seek to understand before being understood.

When Melanie is not preparing for events and guests, you might find her enjoying a long nature walk or an iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts, or volunteering on the Worship and Student Ministry teams at Heartland Church in Sun Prairie. The next time you come to Upper House, we hope you greet her and see first hand why her smile and warmth make everyone feel immediately at home.
