This week, meet Daniel Johnson, Upper House’s Director of Technology Innovation and Digital Promotions. “Dan” has been at Upper House for seven years, navigating the world of communications, social media, and technology. He also delights in taking part in the Internship Program and connecting with students at UW-Madison.
Dan, how has your role at Upper House furthered your faith journey?
I have had the opportunity to interact with amazing speakers and guests who inspire and challenge me in my faith journey. My work at Upper House has shaped the spiritual side of my MIND. The New Testament discusses the life of the mind, but in most modern-day Christian circles, it is not referenced or discussed. God uses the heart AND the mind to fully transform us into His image.
What part of the Upper House project has intrigued/inspired you the most?
I am most inspired by Upper House’s commitment to the potential of individual and institutional transformation at UW-Madison and in the Dane County community. We also get to see God’s kingdom vision unfold among the students, faculty, administrators, and community members we interact with daily.
If you got your 15 minutes of fame, what would you choose to be famous for?
I would want my 15 minutes of fame to be a brilliant one-hit wonder pop song that is both catchy and annoying.
