Ned Bustard

Artist & Publisher

Artist Ned Bustard is known for his linocut print illustrations for the Every Moment Holy books, Rabbit Room Press’s contemporary liturgy project, as well as other ambitious publishing projects, including It Was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God, a book he co-edited and published through his business, Square Halo Books, Inc.. We’re excited to host Ned for a full-day linocut print workshop, during which he will introduce participants to the historic method of printmaking.

No matter your level of skill we invite you to participate and create your own 5×7 linocut print. Ned will demonstrate the medium to the community gathered and then guide attendees through the process of transferring an image to a block, carving and inking the block, and printing the final image on paper. This art experience includes lunch and, at the end of the day, a mini exhibition and art swap!

Your registration fee includes all the workshop materials, including paper, ink, linoleum block, and cutting tools, as well as lunch. For participants who already have their own printmaking tools, we offer a reduced registration fee. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to take their prints and supplies with them.

You might also be interested in hearing Ned speak about his work and views of the artist’s calling and vocation. On Friday, November 11, Ned will be presenting a lecture titled Every Medium Holy at a free luncheon. We look forward to seeing you at one or both gatherings!
