Christine Jeske, our first three time guest, join our producer Jesse to talk  about her recent anthropological study on race and racism in the American church.  

Christine is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Wheaton College. Before joining Wheaton, she spent a decade in microfinance, refugee resettlement, community development, and teaching. She earned all of her degrees, including her PhD in cultural anthropology, from UW-Madison.  

She’s the author of three books including, The Laziness Myth: Narratives of Work and the Good Life in South Africa, which we talked to her about on all the way back on episode eight in February of 2021.
